THE VERY NAME OF AVELINE IS A GUARANTEE OF QUALITY

The AVELINE Gallery is one of the leading 18th century furniture galleries in
Paris thanks to the quality and diversity of the antiques it offers.

Behind AVELINE is an antique dealer of standing, Jean-Marie Rossi, who
has exercised his profession for fifty years, starting in 1956 with Maurice
Aveline in a gallery at the corner of Rue du Cirque and Faubourg Saint
Honoré.

His open mind and eclectic taste, combined with the excellent quality of his
furniture, soon transformed the gallery into an address well known by
connoisseurs. This is why major collectors and antique lovers in search of
exceptional pieces, as well as museums, have shown confidence in us by
becoming our clients. The very name of Aveline is a guarantee of quality,
and it is frequently quoted as a reference.

The AVELINE Gallery moved to Place Beauvau in 1999, into premises
spread over an area of 600 square metres. Its layout, in a succession of
soberly decorated salons, was designed to display the furniture and objets
d'art in an attractive and eye-catching way.

AVELINE is backed by a highly efficient staff, always willing to welcome you
to the gallery and show you the masterpieces that have collected from all
over Europe. These treasures share in common a superb quality,
authenticity and originality. They date from the end of the 17th century to
the middle of the 19th century, and frequently originate from royal or
princely collections.

The Aveline Gallery, a Partner of Major Museums

In addition to an extensive private clientele, the AVELINE Gallery maintains
close relations with numerous French and international museums, which
have become our partners over the years.

The Getty Museum displays an astonishing "musical regulator" made in
Neuwied, Germany, by Roentgen and Kinsing, as well as a sumptuous
cabinet by Beneman, delivered in 1788, intended for the bedroom of Louis
XVI at the Château Saint Cloud.

Visitors to the Musée d'Orsay in Paris can admire a chest-on-stand by
Lièvre.

The Metropolitan Museum, New York, houses two splendid pieces of
furniture: a small steel table produceed in Tula, Russia, and an armoire
made in 1854 by the cabinetmaker Charles-Guillaume Diehl on the theme
of the Triumph of Meroaveus.

Other illustrious partners are the Museums of Compiegne, the Trianon in
Versailles, the Louvre, the Toledo Museum, the Corning Museum of Glass in
New York, the Philadephia Museum, and the Museum of the Légion
d'Honneur in San Francisco.

You are always welcome to visit our Gallery at 94 rue du Faubourg Saint
Honoré.
In the meantime, you can discover a selection of our objects on this site.
